I remember one time my sister and me were running around, being ornery and getting in trouble. Finally, my mother had it up to here with us and yelled, "Get the stick!". Yes, many mothers have that code word for you know, that time to get that whuppin. So we got the ’stick’ which was a yard ruler, and bent down on the vacuum cleaner box, and got a whack! Maybe I am biased, but I think I turned out pretty damned well because of those, bootisimus yard measurements
